Keep personal data secure and compliant. With PII Access Control, sensitive information such as phone numbers are automatically redacted for users without the proper permissions—ensuring privacy without slowing down your workflow.
Turning on PII redaction
Enable PII Access Control in your preferences with a simple toggle—no setup required. Once enabled, users without the PII access permission will see redacted values in place of sensitive data across the interface.
Redacted Data Categories
TrackDrive supports automatic redaction of 8 PII categories. Each category can be individually enabled based on your compliance needs:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Phone numbers | Caller phone numbers, buyer numbers mentioned in conversation |
| Email addresses | Any email address mentioned during the call |
| Social Security Numbers | SSN patterns spoken by caller or agent |
| Credit card numbers | Card numbers mentioned verbally |
| Dates of birth | Birth date references |
| Physical addresses | Street addresses, zip codes |
| Names | Personal names mentioned in the conversation |
| Medical information | Health-related data for HIPAA compliance |
How Redaction Works
PII redaction is integrated directly into the transcription pipeline. Sensitive data is removed before the transcript is returned to TrackDrive:
- A call ends and transcription is requested
- The transcription engine processes the audio with PII redaction enabled
- Detected PII is replaced with category labels (e.g.,
[PHONE_NUMBER],[SSN]) - Only the redacted transcript is stored in TrackDrive
Configuration
PII redaction is configured as part of the transcription pipeline. Enable transcription on an offer under Offer Edit > Premium Services > Post-Call Transcription, then select which PII categories to redact in the TranscriptionFlowGroup configuration.
